Dear colleagues,
May I extend my heartfelt greetings to you all?
As you all remember the major tasks of the Golden Jubilee of Organizing committee of our beloved school were:
• To organize and colorfully celebrate the Golden Jubilee there at our school Ambo,
• Build and hand over the commenced multi-purpose building, and
• Establish Association of Ambo Alumni,
Consequently, after we have celebrated the 50th year, the remaining tasks were the
outstanding multi-purpose building, which is making progress, and the Alumni.
I would like to congratulate the coordinating committee and the Alumnae in general for being
successful in getting the license. Now we have our Association of Ambo Alumni. CONGRATULATIONS!!
What is next?
1. There will be founding Conference here in Finfinne/Addis Ababa on July 13, 2008 (Hamle 6, 2000) at Micro Link information Technology College campus, next to St. Paul Hospital (Qidus Pawuols Hospital) at 09:00 A.M in the morning; You all invited and also to disseminate to all Ambo Alumnae; and make yourself and others available and participate on this historical event. 2. Give your response to the main Association, those who have already established your own Association chapter at Zones, regions (such as Adama, Arsi and Bale Chapter; Jimma and Ilubabor Chapter, Wollega and Assosa Chapter, etc;) here at home and different countries, states who are abroad (Scandinavian or Sweden Chapter, California Chapter, Washington D.C and Metropolitan Chapter, etc)

This site is created on the occasion of the 50th Golden Anniversary of Ambo Secondary School with a primary objective to create a forum for Ambo Secondary School alumni from all over the world so that they could be able to take part in a coordinated way and facilitate the celebration of the 50th Golden Anniversary of their beloved former school. The initiators of the noble idea of celebrating this important event should be therefore highly appreciated. Looking back, and thinking of the knowledge we have gained is clearly something that should make us all feel very proud of this school.
The short term objectives of this site is to serve as a forum for former Ambo school alumni from all over the world to channel a coordinated effort and facilitate the celebration of the 50th Golden anniversary of the Ambo high school in Ambo. The long-term objective of this site is to promote networking of former students of Ambo to make a sustainable support for schools in Ambo and in Ambo region such as in skill/capacity building. It is intended that this site brings together all alumni, teachers and those whose relatives attended or attending the school and affiliates them with the current students and staffs of the schools in Ambo area. This site can be used as a discussion forum to develop a coordinated effort on various projects that promote education system in the region.
